A friend of mine suggested I start a blog in order to help market my business so I did. My name is Jeff Sweeney and I am an attorney practicing in Massachusetts. I focus my practice on criminal defense and my office is on the North Shore in downtown Lynn. I have been practicing since 2003 and on my own since 2004. I love doing criminal defense because I believe in our jury system (though sometimes flawed, it is the best one on the planet) and I believe in one's right to be presumed innocent and make their case for trial. It is an exciting job and one that I love. Some may presume that I became a criminal defense lawyer because I watch too many movies (which is true) but it is it's own form of theater and I always walk out of a trial feeling good about the battle. I try to be cost friendly to those who need help because I believe that everybody should have a shot at a good defense.
